Every story carries a hidden lesson, a spark of wisdom waiting to be discovered. Some stories inspire hope, while others remind us of life’s fleeting nature. In a world full of chaos, stories have the power to heal, reflect, and transform perspectives.
Story:
A storm is coming, and there is a tree which had seen many seasons. Now it stands alone and had witnessed the falling off all its leaves except one leaf.
The tree thinks it won’t survive the storm, what does this tree who had lost all the hope say to its last Leaf.
Tree: Oh, my friend, the storm winds are getting stronger and stronger.
Leaf: yes, they are.
Tree: This storm will definitely destroy and eat up many many trees.
Leaf: Maybe it will or maybe it won’t.
Tree: I think it’s time to say goodbye.
Leaf: What are you talking about?
Tree: I think this storm will be the end for me.
Leaf: No, it’s not.
Tree: Just look at the storm and how fierce the wind is.
Leaf: So what??
Tree: It will surely break me into pieces.
Leaf: Stop being foolish, now is not the time.
Tree: Am I being foolish? Am I?
Leaf: Yes, you are.
Tree: Look at me. I Have dried up. All my leaves and many branches have fallen already.
Leaf: Yes, I know.
Tree: Now you agree with me, so that is why this storm will take me away.
Leaf: That is why I said you are foolish.
Tree: What?
Leaf: Let me Explain.
Tree: Okay.
Leaf: Remember where it all had begun? From a small seed growing into this huge tree, look how far you have come.
Leaf: As you grew, remember how the shining and bright sun greeted you every day and wished you luck? Remember how each droplet of the rain played and danced with you,
Quenching your thirst? Remember how you were home to many happy birds? You gave your shadow and cool breeze to those who were tired from the bright sun,
and you happily shared your fruits to satisfy their hunger.
Tree: yes, I remember all those moments.
Leaf: You have witnessed and faced many many harsh conditions, and you have come back stronger Every single time.
Compared to all those severe conditions you have faced this storm is nothing. You are stronger, you can easily withstand this, now face this storm, I will be with you till the end.
Leaf: So, what is it going to be? Are you going to bend your will and accept defeat in front of this storm, or are you going to stand tall and conquer this storm?
Interpretation:
Look at how a small leaf, which believed in the tree that had lost all hope, and the leaf gave the courage needed for the tree to face the storm.
Similarly, we all Encounter many problems in our daily lives. When faced with difficulties, we often think that we won’t succeed, we have lost everything,
all is gone, and this will be the end.
However, just like the small leaf that provided courage to the tree, there is often a small voice within us that reminds us we have not lost; nothing is gone,
and this is not the end. It is our mind. Our mind gives us the courage and belief we need to face our problems, and it helps us to find solutions to our problems.
So, whenever you encounter a problem in your life, what are you going to do?
Will you bend your will and accept defeat, or you will stand tall face your problems head on and conquer your problems?
